The Edible Garden is a community garden run by volunteers, teaching all aspects of growing, food waste, reducing landfill and our carbon footprint. Providing access to healthy produce to improve diets and health. Linking in with the local school/clubs.

TD1 Active is about empowering young people aged 11-17 year old to take a full and active part in making decisions and organising activities for their peers. During school holiday periods TD1 Youth Hub will support young people to run free activities.

The youth group leads this bid to support and equip the Community Garden Hub located in the grounds of the High School. We will be working with all ages to enhance our village, support outdoor learning activities to grow the gardeners of the future.

To create a short, level connecting path beside the Tweed to bypass two large sets of steps, enabling easy access to Haylodge Park from the town centre for wheelchair users, those with prams and the less able bodied to enjoy the park and the river.

Kelso FC is a Community Club committed to as many children/adults playing as possible (current-10 teams/180 players) No. of games to be played has increased by 40% since 2018. Another pitch with movable goals is critical to support this extra demand.

The Community Fitness Suite has 8 stations for use by up to 12 people at a time. Suitable for all ages and abilities, combining cardio and strength workouts. Made especially for park space, and will encourage the community to get fit at their own pace.

Street Pastors are out at night time in Borders towns from 11pm – 3.30am to Listen, Care & Help those in need. Teams are in Galashiels every Saturday night and once a month in Hawick. 3 mobile phones will help our team leaders deliver the service.

Our befriending groups will give 35 children and adults with learning disabilities a great chance to have fun, make friends and improve social skills & confidence. 35 local volunteers’ lives will be enriched and carers will have welcome respite.

We wish to establish a weekly low-cost community lunch club to bring together members of the local community of all ages. Additionally, there will be monthly activity sessions open to all to share interests, skills and improve health and wellbeing.
